[Lesson 14] The Supporting Leg
As you’ve already seen in previous lessons, the supporting leg is the one that will support most of the figure’s weight. This leg will make that the figure looks balanced, and not as if it’ll fall.
How to balance the figure with the supporting leg
As you’ve watched in the videos, the supporting leg should come from the higher hip to the ankles and towards the balance line.
In an open-legs posture, the supporting leg should come from the higher hip as well, but it can be located further from the balance line.
Balancing the figure is quite easy. Just remember to have the balance line coming from the base of the neck, and keep in mind these basic rules for the supporting leg.
Now it’s your turn!!
