[Lesson 22] Satin – Reflective Fabrics
In this last lesson for fabric textures, you’ll see how to render satin, patent leather, or any other kind of reflective fabric or material.
All reflective fabrics and materials can be rendered the same way because they have the same characteristic: they reflect lots of light. Which can be represented by leaving completely white areas where the light is supposed to be reflected on the fabric or material.
Before Starting
To have a perfect learning-practice day, make sure you are ready:
- Gather all your materials, and set them in your favorite place to work with watercolors. Check out the materials list for this lesson below the video.
- You can use a square piece of paper like me, or you can use any kind of shape and size.
- Determine the colors you want for the fabric.
- Put on your earbuds with your favorite music on, and now you’re ready!
Let’s start!
