[Lesson 14] Mouths
With this lesson the face will be complete!
Let’s paint a mouth in an intense peachy color, shall we?
Oh, and remember you can explore with other colors for the lipstick 😉
Ready?
Before Starting
To have a perfect learning-practice day, make sure you are ready:
- Gather all your materials, and set them in your favorite place to work with watercolors. Check out the materials list for this lesson below the video.
- Sketch a couple of mouths before you click play. In the video, I show how to paint a mouth, so you have to have a sketch of a mouth ready to use. If you need help with drawing faces (eyes, noses, mouths, and figures), check my other course (and workbook) Fashion Drawing Basics 😉 – And, the more sketches you have to paint mouths, the better!
- Put on your earbuds with your favorite music on, and now you’re ready!
Let’s go!
Painting Mouths
Materials:
Watercolor paper: I used 180grs/m2
Watercolors: flesh tint, crimson red, and violet.
Other: Water, brushes, and a mixing palette.
I had so much fun!

TODAY’S ASSIGNMENT
- Read and watch the lesson.
- Grab your materials.
- Sketch a mouth at least twice – the sketch I created is a whole face; I’m painting the mouth in this lesson, and I painted the eyes and nose in the last lessons (you could create a whole face too 😛 )
- Stretch your paper.
- And practice painting mouths with your favorite lipstick colors!
