[Lesson 13] Noses
Did you practice creating and painting eyes? Will you show them to me?
Oh my can’t wait to see your beautiful creations!
In this lesson, the face is almost getting all colored! Now you’ll see how to create one of the things that I find easiest to paint: noses.
Ready?
Before Starting
To have a perfect learning-practice day, make sure you are ready:
- Gather all your materials, and set them in your favorite place to work with watercolors. Check out the materials list for this lesson below the video.
- Sketch a couple of noses before you click play. In the video, I show how to paint a nose, so you have to have a sketch of a nose ready to use. If you need help with drawing faces (eyes, noses, mouths, and figures), check my other course (and workbook) Fashion Drawing Basics 😉 – And, the more sketches you have to paint noses, the better!
- Play your favorite music, and now you’re ready!
Let’s go!
Painting Noses
Materials:
Watercolor paper: I used 180grs/m2
Watercolors: flesh tint and violet, but you can use the colors you need according to the skin tone you want to paint.
Other: Water, brushes, and a mixing palette.
I LOVE this lesson!

TODAY’S ASSIGNMENT
- Read and watch the lesson.
- Grab your materials.
- Sketch a nose at least twice – the sketch I created is a whole face; I’m painting the nose in this lesson, I painted the eyes in the last lesson, and I’ll paint the mouth in the following lesson (you could create a whole face too 😛 )
- Stretch your paper.
- And practice painting noses in your favorite skin tones, and also remember to experiment and try different kinds of noses 🙂
