[Bonus Lesson 4] Favorite Colors with Watercolors
Now it’s time for the last stretch at this watercolor study journey. How have you felt along these weeks? Has it been hard, easy, fun..?
Welcome back to the challenge WaterColor Study from your course Watercolors for Fashion Illustration.
During these weeks, you’ve been exploring, experimenting, and getting to know the true potential of your watercolors. Now you should feel stronger about the number of colors you have at your disposal, and about how you can use them and harness them in your creations. It’s beautiful how you turned from feeling irritated and limited by the 8 (12, or 18) colors in your watercolor set to feeling strong and confident about the possibilities you have 😀
And, today you’ll create the last chart to experiment with your favorite colors of all, and include the tints that you can create from them. So, you’ll take a look at the color charts you made in the first bonus lesson, and you’ll part from there.
Before Starting
To have a perfect learning-practice day, make sure you are ready:
- Gather all your materials, and set them in your favorite place to work with watercolors. Check out the materials list for this lesson below the video.
- Download and print the grid I created for you.
- Please note that you can refer to the video from the second bonus lesson (I also included it on this page, so it’s easy for you to find it). This video takes as example the creation of the skin tones color chart, but you can use the same process to create your favorite colors chart.
- Before getting started with the real work, you need to revise the color charts you created during the first bonus lesson and pick the colors that are your favorite.
- Play your favorite music, and now you’re ready!
