[Bonus Lesson 3] Hair Colors with Watercolors
If you know me, you know I get crazy when it comes to color- I LOVE illustrating it! So, if you never get enough of hair, you’re gonna love this lesson because you’ll realize how many colors you can create for the hair of your gorgeous fashion illustrations 😀
Welcome back to the challenge WaterColor Study from your course Watercolors for Fashion Illustration.
You did some exploration during the first week figuring out all the colors you can create with your set, and today you’ll create a color chart for all the hair colors you’re able to create – including the tints that can be created from them. You’ll take a look at the color chart you made in the first bonus lesson, and you’ll part from there.
Before Starting
To have a perfect learning-practice day, make sure you are ready:
- Gather all your materials, and set them in your favorite place to work with watercolors. Check out the materials list for this lesson below the video.
- Download and print the grid and hair colors cheat-sheet I created for you.
- Please note that you can refer to the video from the last bonus lesson (I also included it on this page, so it’s easy for you to find it). This video takes as example the creation of the skin tones color chart, but you can use the same process to create your hair colors chart.
- Before getting started with the real work, you need to revise the color charts you created during the first bonus lesson and pick the colors that look like hair. For that, you can refer to the graphic included in your printable PDF.
- Play your favorite music, and now you’re ready!
