Putting it All Together
Wow! These days have flown pretty fast, huh? This is our very last lesson of this course, but more than a lesson is a check and assess day.
I believe that evaluating and assessing your work will help you to improve and get where you want to be so much faster because you can come up with strategies to implement in your next work.
Today is time to slow down a bit, chill out, and reflect on your work with care and love – so get rid of those sneaky judgy feelings from now ok?
You can use the last couple of pages from your workbook (67-68) to complete today’s assignment, or you can ask yourself questions like:
- How did you feel during the process of creating your simple fashion illustration?
- What worked and what didn’t?
- What was the most fun during the process?
- What did you struggle the most?
- How can you overcome that?
- How do you feel about your work?
I know you’re busy, so I’d never give you a filler task, I know by experience that constant evaluation and assessment of your work can boost your skills and confidence. This is a crucial step of what some people call deliberate practice, and I want you to try it from now on, being aware of your strengths, your weaknesses, and what to do to reduce those weaknesses.
This is not the end
I’m so happy to be here in our 10th lesson; it has been an AMAZING journey! I’ve enjoyed so much interacting more deeply with some of you over the email, every time I see your progress and emails I jump full of joy 😀
If you haven’t sent me your illustrations, go ahead and show them to me! And, if you have doubts or questions, I’m always happy to share my support and advice 🙂
Well, this is not the end my friend, I’m preparing lots of great stuff for the blog, for the Fashion School, and a NEW course! I’m so excited for what’s happening inside the other courses, and also about what’s coming soon! – It’ll be amazing to share it with you.
In the meantime, if you’re still struggling when you draw your fashion figures and when you try to illustrate fabric textures, remember that I have a couple of course just for you! – they’re also affordable and so-loved by the students 🙂
And soon there will be a course about Watercolors for Fashion Illustration!
You can check them all here, or click each of the images below.
This is what a couple of my students had to say:
“I have LOVED all of Karen’s content, videos, everything has been super helpful in my journey. I have learned SO MUCH from Karen and her courses in so little time!” – Kellsi Braf
“I adore Karen’s courses! After practicing with illustrations, now I’m able to do sketches, and I’m not using cheat-sheets anymore 😉 I’m so excited about being able to draw something nice, especially when I’ve never done this before!!” – Alexandra Fomenko
