Welcome to Fashion Illustration for Beginners, [MM_Member_Data name=’firstName’]!
Yay, I’m so happy you’re here, and I’m so eager to start this journey with you 😀
Okay, before we get started, I want to remind you how this course works:
- You have access to all the lessons of the course in this page. You can take all the lessons at once, or take the pace that you want. I recommend taking one lesson per day.
- This course was for a little time a free email course, so may read or listen something like ‘this is from my free email course…’, but you can be sure that none of the resources of this course are free anymore – just a couple of sample videos.
- Some lessons will be more intense than others, and every lesson comes with an assignment for you to complete before the next one. Some lessons will have written content only, and others will include short videos.
- At the end of each lesson I invite you to share with me your progress, pics of your work, and your biggest struggles. If you’re an introvert as I am, you can opt for email and send me everything there (karenavila@fashionstepbystep.com). Or if you want to let the world know about your breakthroughs use the hashtag #FashionIllustrationCourse at Instagram.
- My goal for this course is that you create at least one simple fashion illustration. I want this process to be as simple and streamlined for you as possible. So before you get into conceptualizing a theme, outfit, or inspiration, I want you to get into the basics of fashion illustration – that means figure drawing, garment drawing, color and texture, background, and coloring basics.
I want to thank you beforehand for signing up to this course and for sharing with me your progress and questions. I get excited every time I get an email from you; I read each and every one of them, and I truly value our interactions.
